  The Entrust Datacard SD460 printer delivers exceptional 300dpi full-color or monochrome cards quickly and efficiently. This printer provides direct-to-card printing, edge-to-edge card coverage for professional-looking credentials every time. The printer driver uses Windows-based technology and provides adjustable color controls with image preview, ensuring high-fidelity printing, regardless of how demanding your card production needs may be.


• Tactile impression feature
  With its tactile impression feature, the Entrust DatacardSD460 printer provides security that is easy to authenticate. A custom or generic die is located in the front of the lamination module, and the die impresses the card surface after card lamination is complete, adding an extra physical layer of security. The impression in the card not only adds a visible form of authentication but also makes it extremely difficult to remove laminates to counterfeit cards.
  
  The tactile impressor can be fitted with one of 5 different generic dies ("Education", "Medical", "Globe", "Security", and "Bank") or with a custom designed die. The die can be installed on one of three possible "tracks" that are located in different locations on the card. It is extremely important to select the correct track to avoid accidentally impressing over sensitive card components such as magnetic stripes or smart card chips and antennas.
