Unlike other digital cameras, the VALCam uses CCD sensors with few pixels but with higher quality, which is ideal for printing high quality photos on plastic cards. The camera includes a one-year factory warranty.

The VALCam streamlines the photo ID creation process. It features full control of zoom, focus, iris, gain, and color temperature through the user interface.

Live preview window
A real time live preview window allows you to see the centered and cropped image before it&rs's captured - no editing is required! The VALCam displays live video at 640 X 480 at 30 frames per second for a realistic live preview. Other systems have no live display or display video at small screen sizes at less than 30 frames per second, providing for a choppy, unattractive live preview.

Perfect images, in any environment
The VALCam Zoom camera makes it easy to capture perfect images in any environment, even in very dark rooms. Upon clicking the shutter, the camera will auto adjust, the auto light will go on, and a high-resolution image with perfect skin tones will be captured - all within just seconds. The camera has a range from under two feet to 15 feet with flash and over 25 feel without flash.

The camera operation is fast and accurate. It features a high quality lens and optics for fast zoom and auto focus. The high intensity flash with adjustable output allows for perfect illumination of your subject. The position of the flash on the VALCam eliminates red eye.

A software developer&rs's kit (SDK) is available to allow software developers to integrate the VALCam Zoom camera into their applications. The VALCam is compatible with all major photo ID software packages and applications supporting TWAIN interface. The VALCam is fully USB compatible.
